The BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico is under control, as the well has been caped & plugged, and relief wells are near
completion. There are still isolated bodies of oil in the Gulf, though only a fraction of previous amounts. The impact
of the Oil Spill on our beaches has been minimal, with no official oil-related beach closures in the Destin area. We have only
experienced small "tarballs" and the very rare floating oil islands. Oil-related beach closures in Destin have been limited
to 8-12 hours in very specifically affected areas while clean up occured. There have only been two such incidents in Destin,
and each was in the month of June.
Refunds:
Sunset Resort Rentals has revised our cancellation policy
as it applies to the Oil Spill.
If the beaches are officially closed due to oil during the dates that you
have reserved, then a refund of unused time will be issued.
Cancellation for any other reason will fall under our originalcancellation policy.
As always, we appreciate all of our customers, and will keep you informed as new information arrises.

Thank You to our Customers.
All Sunset Resort Rentals customers who have a 2010 reservation, and who follow through
with that order in the event that the oil should **close the beaches of Destin and Fort Walton Beach, will receive a credit toward
a 2011 rental in the amount of 25% of their present order subtotal (before cleaning fees and taxes were added.)
This offer applies
to all present and future reservations.
The credit must be used in the year of 2011, and may be used toward the rental of
any property represented by Sunset Resort Rentals.
This offer is void if the present 2010 order is cancelled, or if the
dates of the present 2010 order are exchanged for any reason.
The credit is non-transferrable, and may only be used toward a
single order in 2011.
Due to possible fluctuations is beach closures, the credit must be claimed by the customer and validated
by Sunset Resort Rentals during the reserved dates of the 2010 order. Any claims made before or after these dates will be null.

Beach directly in front of reserved property must be officially closed with red flags and the beach closure must be in direct
relation to the oil spill during the specific dates of the 2010 order.
