Welcome to your beach retreat at Pelican Isle 305. This third-floor condo offers a direct view of the Emerald Coast, stretching from Destin to Pensacola. Okaloosa Island is known for its clear water and white sand, making it a popular destination for those who love the shore.
This beachfront unit has one bedroom and two bathrooms, with space for up to six guests. The floor plan includes a master bedroom with a king bed and a private bath, along with hallway bunk beds and a sleeper sofa in the living room. For your convenience, the unit features a kitchen with standard appliances, an in-unit washer and dryer, and a balcony with a table and chairs. From March 1 through October 31, your stay includes one set of two beach chairs and an umbrella daily.

The resort provides several amenities for guests to use, including a heated Gulf-side pool, a hot tub, an on-site fitness room, and a charcoal grilling area for outdoor cooking.

Pelican Isle Resort, situated on Florida’s Okaloosa Island, is a popular choice for a beach vacation. This beachfront resort provides every guest with a view of the Gulf and the pool from a private balcony. Located on the white sand of the Emerald Coast, the resort is minutes away from activities like parasailing, snorkeling, and deep-sea fishing, with the attractions of Destin also nearby.

The property features tropical landscaping and a beachside pool. Guests have access to a hot tub, a fitness center, and a BBQ grilling area. Boardwalks provide a direct path to the beach, where seasonal service often includes chairs and umbrellas. Each condo includes a full kitchen, separate bedrooms, and an in-unit washer and dryer. As a guest of Sunset Resort Rentals, you will receive a starter pack with essentials such as toiletries, laundry and dish detergent, paper towels, and trash bags.

Families can find plenty of entertainment close to the resort as well. The Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park offers marine life exhibits and animal shows just down the road. The Okaloosa Island Pier is a popular spot for fishing or walking, located near Wild Willy’s Adventure Zone. You can also book dolphin cruises or snorkeling tours departing from the nearby Destin Harbor.

Parking: Free uncovered parking is provided for up to 2 vehicles with each reservation.

Food: For groceries, you’re just a short drive from Publix at Shoppes at Paradise Pointe or nearby Winn-Dixie, making snack time and meal prep stress-free. Dining options within a short distance - Stewby’s Seafood Shanty is known for fresh seafood and their catch of the day, while Old Bay Steamer offers steamed seafood platters and steaks. The Shack is a waterfront spot for crabs and seafood plates, and Vincenzo’s Italian Bistro features Italian cuisine and a bar area. Within walking distance, Beachview Breakfast and Grill and Asiago’s Skillet are available for morning meals.

Beach Service: One set (2 chairs and 1 umbrella) are provided complimentary with your reservation daily between Mar 1 and Oct 31. The beach service vendor will set the chairs up 8am-9am typically. Chairs are typically claimed as guests arrive. You will be able to reserve an available set of chairs with a towel, beach bag, etc. It is recommended that you reserve your chairs early while availability is plentiful. Additional sets may be purchased by speaking with the vendor upon arrival. Private chairs and canopies up to 10'x10' are generally allowed barring they do not interfere with the beach service access and/or view.

Pool: The resort has a moderate-size ocean-front gated pool and hot tub which is open year-round. The pool is heated only as needed to maintain a tenable level, which is typically to a water temperature between 68-75℉.

• Vehicles are limited to passenger vehicles only. No RVs or Trailers
• No Smoking in unit or on balcony
• Check-In 4pm, Check-Out 10am
• Early Arrivals - Please plan to arrive at 4pm. If it is imperative that you check in before 4pm, we suggest reserving an extra night. However, you will be automatically notified by email if your room is ready before 4pm. The resort facilities and amenities are available to use while waiting.

CANCELLATIONS:
Daily / Weekly Rentals
• Cancellations made at least 30 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made at least 14 days prior to arrival will receive 50% refund.
Monthly Rentals (28 consecutive days or longer)
• Cancellations made at least 180 days prior to arrival of any calendar month will receive a 100% refund for the affected month(s).
• Cancellations made less than 180 days prior to arrival of any calendar month will forfeit the full required deposit for the affected month(s).
• Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to arrival of any calendar month will forfeit the entire cost of for the affected month(s).

Very nice condo

The location of the condo is excellent. Approximately 30-40 minute drive from the airport. Parking is free and right out front. Close to the elevator or stairs if you choose. You will be supplied with a parking pass to display on your dashboard so the car won't be towed. I forgot to display it one night and the car was still there when I woke up, so I'm not sure how much that's really checked. There is security that walks around the complex at night keeping an eye on the complex. The unobstructed view out of the sliding door of the gulf of Mexico can't be beat. Just sitting on the balcony or from inside is awesome. There are 4 comfortable chairs and 2 tables on the balcony. The condo inside is nice. There is sofa and love seat in the living room. As well as a TV. We used the TV for music, tuned to the music ch on the cox cable tv. There is also a cable modem with wifi that is included. Good thing because the concrete building blocks my T-mobile service. Very glad for the included free wifi. The kitchen is older but very functional, its stocked with plates, silverware, glasses and even pots and pans. We ate out every meal. There is even a blender if you would want to make slushy drinks. We drank bottled alcoholic beverages. The fridge works very well, and so does the freezer. Also has an ice maker. Microwave is also in the kitchen. Plenty of seating. Everything that we used works. Items are older but the cost of the rental reflects that, so don't expect brand new. The week we stayed the weather was cold for the time of the year. 72-77 degrees, so we never needed the air or the heat. The condo was a comfortable 72-73 degrees inside. One thing I think is needed would be a screen for the sliding door. I figure it's probably been removed so that its one less thing to get broken. The latch mechanism on the slider works but is a pain in the but to get it to lock. The bedroom is nice and the bed was comfy to sleep in. I normally sleep in a water bed so switching to a regular bed for the week can sometimes be hard, but I slept fine. There are plenty of pillows to choose from. Being that we didn't have the air conditioning on there wasn't any air movement in the bedroom. I feel the addition of a ceiling fan is a must. There is already a switch on the wall for it. It doesn't need to be an expensive one, match the Hampton bay that's in the living room and it would perfect. There are two full bathrooms to use and are nice. We showered in the hallway bathroom using the walk-in shower verses the tub. About the shower, we went to the publix grocery store and purchased some Clorox cleanup to spray the mold at the bottom of the shower surround. It would be nice if the cleaning person would have done a better job with that. I use to have the same kind of shower surround at my old house and I do know how much of a pain that it is to clean. But with some bleach spray it cleans up. I left that cleaner behind so if it's needed again.There is also a washer and dryer in the condo, they are small and look like they won't hold much. We did not use either, I was not about to do wash while on vacation, but they are there if you chose to. I would highly recommend staying here. Just don't expect a high-end new 5 star resort with marble and gold. The front entry door of the condo uses a 6 digit entry code and it can be programmed with your own combo. That makes it very convenient while going to the beach. No key to be lost or left in the room and get locked out. With that being said it looks like the door could be picked rather easy with the gap between the door and the doorjamb. We didn't travel with any expensive items, so I wasn't overly concerned. Once again this condo is a great deal for the dollar and is right on the beach with an amazing view. The beach is great and chairs and an umbrella is included. The condo location is away from all the busyness yet close enough to stores and restaurants.

Being right on the beach was a big plus and we enjoyed having the beach umbrella and chairs set up for us each day. We loved staying here! Gorgeous view from a spacious balcony overlooking the beach. Condo was well stocked and well appointed. The amenities around the complex were nice and clean. We really enjoyed the pool and the outdoor showers. The barbecue pits were a little bit small but they actually worked fine. A complaint we had were the elevators. There was only one elevator for the entire complex, so there was a lot of waiting there. If they would fix the second elevator, it would be a lot nicer. . It was a challenge finding a cart to use to check in and check out as people like to hoard them in their units. They also leave them dirty with sand and water and and junk. So I cleaned one a number of times when we were putting our groceries and luggage on it . The beach service was great and the staff were very friendly. If you want a front row beach chair and umbrella, you can pay $15 a day plus a tip and they will reserve a seat for you at the beach. Otherwise, to get a close-up seat to the water, you have to get up very early and go put your towel on a chair. The beach was beautiful and clean and they stairs going over the dunes were easy to navigate. As far as what was surrounding us, it was a nice quiet road even though it was beachfront with a number of restaurants and shops. It was really tough getting over the bridge to the grocery store, but not too too bad. This Condominium building is next to a public beach so they have a number of codes that you have to keep track of: one for the pool, one for the gate, downstairs bathrooms, fitness center and your unit. No way we could remember all those different codes so we wrote them on our hands and had to have our phones with us at the beach. The condo building is next to the public beach. But It was very quiet and there was no noise. It was very family oriented which we liked. No loud music or partying. All in all, it was a beautiful location: beachfront!! I'm pretty sure we will return to this complex as it was easy for us to do

We truly enjoyed our stay at Pelican Isle. Our rental unit was immaculate and had everything we needed. As soon as we walked in, the beach was in clear view and beautiful. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well as did everything else. This unit has been maintained and is quiet. Only suggestion would be to update the couch and chair as it was not as comfortable and looks like it is older.

Our week stay at Pelican Isle Resort, Unit 305/Okaloosa Island, Ft. Walton Beach was great. It's probably normal that clean bedcoverings are not cleaned after each guest, but I would like to suggest that you ALWAYS place CLEAN bedcoverings (spreads) on each time there is new guests. Personally, I get cold and a sheet isn't sufficient. I NEVER COVER WITH THE BEDSPRED/BED COVER because others before my visit have had the same covering. Also, I believe some kind of handrail should be permanently placed in each tub/shower. I am 75 years old and the bottom of a tub/shower is slippery when bathing. Both myself and the person who traveled with me placed towels in the shower/tub to keep from falling. I am very aware that a suction cup style holder isn't safe, but a permanent rail should be in place. Next visit, maybe I need to request a handicap room if those are available. Our unit was clean with ample starter supplies. The cookware was very minimal, but we made it fine with what was there. We had plenty of towels and bath cloths. I did purchase bath cloths for myself because I don't like a thick wash cloth and the bath cloths in this unit were very thick. The chairs located on the balcony were very comfortable making enjoying the view nice. The TVs were great, we only used the one in the living area. We did have extra wait time in the heat as one of the elevators wasn't working during our stay. I have health issues so I really need a handicap parking space. There were only 6 spaces for the handicap! I had to be dropped at the door and wait for the other person in my party when the 5 spaces were filled which was 99% of the time. You really need more handicap parking! Will we stay here again? MOST DEFINITELY!

We found our room very clean and nicely furnished. Our only problem was no dish towels in our kitchen, but after a quick call dish towels were brought to our room. We had a nice supply of starter supplies. We are very happy with our accommodations. There was a bit of a wait on the elevator as only one elevator was operational. We will stay here again, hopefully next year!

This condo was a great value for the money spent. Spectacular view of the water and extremely convenient location that allowed a short walk to the beach, chairs/umbrella service and pool/bathrooms. Furniture was not very comfortable and the accessories (trash can, utensils, etc. were extremely sparse and low quality. It depends on what each person is looking for in a rental. We appreciated the location and value!

Big waves started before the storm even entered the Gulf but we were looking on the bright side, there should be plenty of shells on the beach when it’s over. Great vacation!

This is my 3rd time staying at Pelican Isle (all different units)! I absolutely love the building and location of this condo. We prefer to stay farther away from the pier because it less crowded. This is my first time working with Sunset Resort Rentals. They were very easy to work with. I originally had a different week booked through them and I had to change it. Luckily this unit was still open with the week I wanted, and they were very accommodating in getting our dates changed. This unit is on the 3rd floor and has a beautiful view of the beach. One suggestion I have is to get higher chairs and tables, because you have to look through the rails. If you have younger kids that like to climb, though, it may be a better option for you. With it only being a one bedroom condo, the bunk beds were perfect for my two kids! The condo itself was very kid-friendly, which means very few breakables. When we arrived, the condo was very clean and ready to go for us. The furniture was all very comfortable.There were plenty of blankets, sheets, and pillows. The water pressure was great in the showers, too! We loved the key pad to get in and out of the room with, also. The nice big TV that turns was an added bonus. We weren't able to get the Roku to work, but we brought our fire stick and it worked great with the internet. We also loved the beach service. This unit comes with two chairs and an umbrella everyday. The man working with the beach service was so nice, and he even helped get us set up with our friends every day that were staying three doors down from our unit. Overall we had a great week! I do have a couple suggestions. We did use our kitchen quite a bit during this time. I would recommend the unit getting some new knives, because we couldn't find any very sharp. It was hard to even cut up an apple. We also had leftovers some nights and very little containers to store it in. There also wasn't any measuring spoons. These are very minor concerns (which is still why we give an excellent rating), but something for the owners to consider. We would definitely pick this unit again if we were searching for a one bedroom condo!

Great Vacation!

We had a wonderful week on Okaloosa Island... it's our favorite place! The unit at Pelican Isle was very much what was described. It was well-stocked and very comfortable. The view from the balcony was great! My children are 11 and 9, and they felt like the bunks were a little small, but not too bad. The master bedroom was comfortable and we slept well. We didn't use the sofa bed so I can't comment on that.

Everything was great, loved the beach service!

Great Stay on Okaloosa Island

We have stayed on Okaloosa Island numerous times but this is our first time in this unit. The condo was well taken care of and provided pretty much everything we needed. The sleeper sofa wasn't very comfortable but it is after all, a sleeper sofa. A couple of things I would suggest: 1. Allow people to check in early if the room is ready. 2. Lubricate the sliding glass door, it's difficult to open/close. Otherwise, we enjoyed our week and would consider renting this unit again.

Our stay at Pelican Isle Resort was wonderful. The beach was clean and the water was clear. Going in April was good for us because it wasn't as crowded and the weather was great.

We loved the service and condo. The condo was amazing very clean and well taken care of. The whole building was nice and clean. We loved that we got beach chair and umbrella rental everyday that made it nice. Our condo room was nice and roomy. We loved it so much! Thank you for a great experience with our 1st trip to Fort Walton!!

Awesome Views

We always stay at Okaloosa Island but this was the first time at Pelican Isle. The condo had awesome views, clean and was well cared for and was more than enough room for my husband and myself. We do plan staying there again in the future.

The property at Pelican Isle was great. The condo was clean and well kept and in an excellent location. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. I will definitely stay here again.

Unit was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. My family and I had an incredible vacation and would recommend the Pelican Isle Resort, unit 305 to all family and friends. We will definitely return as we know we will have exactly what we need and know what to expect!

My family of 5 fit very comfortably in this condo. It was very clean and the view was worth a million bucks. You can literally be standing in the kitchen and look out over the ocean. Loved the beach chair service. The most minor of thing I did notice was no shower wash off at the end of the walkways. We was there 2 days before we realized it was through 2 sets of doors by the pool. Made it a little more difficult to wash off sand if running to the room quickly for something. Still though, will look forward to going back many times and will love to stay in this condo again!!!

This condo was beautiful and amazing. Home away from home with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Sleeping with the slider open taking a nap listening to the ocean!! Ten stars!!!! Will be back again for sure...Indiana loves you!!!
